Biography
Sourav Sarkar’s academic journey began with a strong foundation in the physical sciences. He excelled in his Higher Secondary education at the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE), achieving an impressive 92.4% in 2015. This academic excellence continued through his secondary education at the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), where he scored 91.57% in March 2013. Sourav Sarkar pursued a Bachelor of Science in Physics (Honours) at Krishnagar Government College, University of Kalyani, from 2015 to 2018, achieving a commendable 65.5%. He then went on to complete his Master of Science in Physics at the University of Calcutta (Rajabazar Science College) from 2018 to2020, specializing in Solid State Electronics and Quantum Electronics, and securing 70.8%. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Physics at the S N Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Kalyan Mandal, with a focus on dielectric, magnetic and electromagnetic properties in spinel ferrites. He has already published two research papers in peer-reviewed journal. Sourav’s future contributions to the field are anticipated to be substantial. His participation in international conferences has already earned him recognition, including the “Best Poster Award” at ICMAGMA-2023, the “Willey Sponsored Presentation in Interdisciplinary Field” at iSNIOE2, and the “ACS Applied Energy Materials sponsored Best Oral Presentation” at ICN-2024. These accolades highlight his potential for continued innovation and strong dedication towards research.
